All terms and conditions, the school fees, or other charges mentioned on the school notice board and informed through the diary or fee slip are valid for the relevant academic year only. The school reserves the right to amend any of these, fee structures or terms and condition for any subsequent academic year.

Deposit of Fees and other charges

  • All School Fees are to be paid before the mentioned payment dates for that term. Each Academic year consist of two terms, and each term consists of six months.
  • Fee are to be deposited at the designated bank branches only. Fee slips are issued at the beginning of every term.
  • It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that all school fees are paid within the stipulated dates and the school may not remind them of the unpaid fees.
  • Late payment charges are applicable on all school fees payment if they are not paid before the given dates.The school will not entertain any reasons for late payment.
  • Payments can be made via bank draft or cheques. Payment via bank draft or cheque shall be made out in favor of "ST MARY'S SCHOOL".
  • Administration charges of Rs 500.00 will be imposed for unsuccessful fee transaction or cheques that are not honoured by the bank for any reasons.
  • The school reserves the right to deduct all unpaid fees and charges. The transfer certificate will be issued only when all dues are cleared.
  • In case of mid term withdrawal of a student, the school authority should be informed in writing one month in advance. Fees for the month in which the student leaves will have to be paid in full.

  • Transfer certificate would not be issued unless all the dues of the school are settled.
  • The school reserves the right to withhold examination results (Internal or external Board results) and shall prevent the student / candidate from attending or appering for any examination conducted by the school in the event of non-payment of any dues to the school.
  • The school shall NOT be responsible if fees are not deposited on time. Parents are expected to follow all guidelines and pay the fees on time.
  • Medical

  • The parent / guardian shall declare to school in writing, at the time of admission any/all serious illness, disability physical or mental, and/or health condition and/or allergy of the child.
  • The parent shall also inform the school in writing from time to time, as and when the child is diagnosed of any serious illness, disability physical or mental, and/or health condition and/or allergy.
  • The school shall not be held responsible for any medical exigencies that invole special medical intervention in relation to the special or serious illness, disability physical or mental, and/or health condition and/or allergy of the child.
  • Absence

  • Students who have been sick should bring a medical certificate from their doctor on joining school. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than one month renders the students name to be stck off the rolls. Strict action will be taken for those students who are absent for total of four or more days in a month. Half day / Early leave is strictly prohibited. In case of emergency please contact school office.
  • Withdrawal

    Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds:
  • Disciplinary grounds
  • Unsatisfactory process in academics
  • Attendance below 75%
  • "Pupil's Code of Conduct"
    School has profound faith in self discipline as it believes that discipline is essential in all walks of life. It is an integral tool for the development of personality. The measures outlined are of self help variety and serve to inculcate an awareness in :

    DRESS APPEARANCE TURNOUT

  • All pupils are expected to be neat and clean and wear prescribed school uniform.
  • Shoes need to be well polished.
  • Girls are advised to dress their hair into one plait using black bands. Girls with short hair are advised to wear black hair bands.
  • Fancy / Ornamental hairdos / clips are not allowed. School forbids girls to wear big earrings and use of nail polish and mehndi.
  • BEHAVIOUR / DEPORTMENT / SPEECH

  • Students must converse in English during school hours, they will be fined if caught speaking in any other language.
  • Courtesy and politeness will be the hallmark of the pupils who must greet all staff members, visitors and elders, showing due respect at all times.
  • Classroom discipline should be maintained.
  • Pupils must avoid loud talk in and out of classes, and also chorus answers. Silence in corridors, in the library and laboratories is a must.
  • Damage to school property will be penalized.
  • Litter must be put into litter bins / dustbins and waste paper baskets.
  • ATTANDANCE / LEAVE / ABSENCE

  • As regular attandence is an important element of education no leave or absent will be granted except for serious reasons.
  • Attandence on opening and closing days of the terms is compulsory.
  • Every pupil is required to put in attendance of not less than 90% of the total number of working days.
  • Parents must state early the reason for the absence such as religious celebration, marriages etc. failure to do so invalidates the application.
  • Appointment with doctors must not be taken during school hours
  • In case of serious illness the principal must be informed within five days with a Doctor's certificate along with the leave application by the parent.
  • No students shall be allowed to leave the school premises during the school hours.
  • Irregular attandence, habitual idleness, disobedience or defiance of authority, lack of sufficient improvement in studies and conduct even after warnings or conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school are sufficient reasons for expulsion of a student.
  • GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Pupils are not allowed to bring the following :
      1 . Objectional literature.
      2 . Valuables and video games.
      3 . Any equipment / material which may cause injury or hurt other.
      4 . Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in school.
      5 . Sweets / chocolates and other packaged eatables.
  • Pupils must report the following to the class teacher
      1 . Any sickness / bruise.
      2 . Any breakage.
      3 . Any errant behavior.
  • Pupils must take permission for :
      1 . Leaving the class from the teacher.
      2 .Leaving the school, from the principal. No student will be granted half day leaves for social events or functions.
  • Pupils must adhere to the following :
      1 . Packaged food stuff and sweets are not allowed.
      2 . Chewing gum in the campus is prohibited.
      3 . Systematic and regular class work, homework, school work by way of correction, is essential for satisfactory academic performance.
      4 . Participation in extra-curricular activities/ games and sports will help total personality development.
  • Pupils are not allowed to use two wheelers as conveyance till the age of 18. Be environment friendly use cycle.
  • THE SCHOOL DISCOURAGES

  • Private tuition / coaching classes for the students of St. Mary's School. Tuition inhibit the process of learning.
